but it got taken away,
you were acting back or misbehaving,
and you couldn't see him that day.
mom told you to be nice,
and play with your friends,
but you wanted that toy,
even with all the torn ends.
remember all the memories you both had,
dragging him in the dirt,
throwing him in the air,
and letting him wear your shirt.
from losing an eye on your adventures,
making little holes from his seams,
riping an limb from rocks and lose nails,
but falling asleep with him in your dreams.
but as you got older he was put away,
and you wouldn't play with him for days,
even weeks and months,
a forgotten toy but not forgotten love.
i felt you've put me away,
sealed me in that box,
not to pull me out until another rainy day,
but this time you won't pull me out,
and say how much you love me.
i've been forgotten,
like another childhood toy.

"Art is not simply something that is created under the dictation of rules and past accomplishments; it is an expression from the creator in its purest form. A beauty that is from the heart, not the hearts of those who came before us."

Hearts are like origami, they fold and tear easily. [me]
One can only bend so far before they break,
one can only follow so long before they get lost,
one can only love so much before they are broken. [me]
